Basic Do’s and Don’ts
DO
- Make sure the bunnies has access to fresh clean water and food including alfalfa hay (alfalfa leafs, not just the alfalfa sticks) and food pellets we provide at all times until they’re 6 months. Keep their diet boring. Keep their living area clean.
DON’T
- Do not feed anything besides Alfalfa hay and food pellets we provide.
- Do not let them eat grass, as it may contain pesticides and can be fatal. It may look cute for them to be outside but what most people don’t realize is that these bunnies are not wild rabbits. They could die from heat stroke if left outside for too long.
(NO fresh veggies or fruits until they are at least 5-6 months old, their sensitive stomach cannot handle those and can be fatal to young rabbits)
- Do not let the bunny chew on any plastic or carpet as it could create intestinal blockage
- Do not over-stress the bunny by having the bunny in room that has loud noises (the laundry, the game room, the home theater room etc)
- Do not give the bunny a bath. Rabbits are meticulously clean and almost never need a bath. Bathing them can even be harmful, since they tend to panic in water and may fracture a limb or their spine if they thrash around.
